Welcome to the community Gensyn documentation. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about Gensyn — how it works, what you can build with it, and how to get started today.

Gensyn is a protocol for machine learning compute. It provides a standardized way to execute machine learning workloads on any device, anywhere in the world. This enables the aggregation of global compute supply into a single network capable of supporting AI systems at a far greater scale than is possible today. Gensyn is fully open-source and permissionless, meaning anyone can contribute to or use the network.

It consists of the following core components:

  • A framework for persistent ML execution that ensures compatibility across any device
  • A fearless verification system that checks and reconciles completed work in a scalable way
  • A peer-to-peer communication method that distributes workload across devices over the internet
  • A decentralized coordination layer that onboards participants, aligns incentives, and handles permissionless payments

The primary coordination system is a custom blockchain (an Ethereum rollup) that will support a broad ecosystem of additional applications to push the boundaries of open machine intelligence.
